The Jackson Five was young and dominated in its field. In the world of recruiting, college lists can be chopped to any number chosen. One Jackson, Justin Jackson, officially is down to six schools and ready to go forward in the process.
On Wednesday morning, the class of 2014 6-foot-7 HYCA (Texas) small forward narrowed his list of college options to Arizona, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, Ohio State and Texas A&M.
"I just felt comfortable with those schools," Jackson told Rivals.com. "Right now, we'll just evaluate these six programs."
The homeschooled No. 29 player in the Rivals150 is a hot commodity in the junior class. As he battled against another Rivals150 talent from Texas in Justise Winslow on Tuesday night, North Carolina head coach Roy Williams was in attendance.
For a few months there has been a lot of buzz around the Tar Heels being the potential landing spot for the elite wing prospect.
"That's been a rumor for a while now," Jackson said. "But these are the six I'm considering."
Going forward, there is no exact plan as far as visits go or any other possibilities in his recruitment. Look for a few trips to be made, whether it's in the spring, summer or fall, before Jackson finalizes his college plans.
